Join the MFFN Board of Directors

The Minnesota Fathers & Families Network maintains a Board of Directors comprised of 11 - 21 members. Members of the Board include men and women from diverse racial/ethnic groups, occupational groups, and geographic regions. MFFN seeks at least one Board member from each of Minnesota's seven regions. MFFN accepts nominations each summer/fall for individuals interested in serving a 3-year term starting the following January.

Individuals are asked to self-nominate to join the Board of Directors. A complete nomination will include:

  1. A brief letter or email message (2 paragraphs), stating why you are interested in joining the board and how your background helps qualify you for leading MFFN;
  2. A current resume or biography;
  3. A signed copy of MFFN's Board Responsibilities and Expectations, available here.

  • The MFFN Membership will vote on the slate of candidates in November 2010.
  • New board members will be announced on December 13, 2010 at the Network's annual meeting in St. Paul.

For example, recent board meetings have been held in Brainerd, Cloquet, Collegeville, Hutchinson, Moorhead, Rochester, St. Cloud, and St. Paul. Board members are also asked to attend the Network's annual conference, traditionally held in January. Overnight stays may be necessary, depending on the distance to each meeting's location. Reimbursement may be available for mileage and hotels, on a limited basis and within certain guidelines. Please contact Paul Masiarchin with questions at (651) 222-7432 or info@mnfathers.org.
